Samarkand International Airport resumed its work

Samarkand International Airport began to fulfill regional and international flights. 

To date, the airport has completed the construction of a runway with a length of 3105 meters and a width of 60 meters, 24 shelters for aircraft, runway and platform.

 The complex is also equipped with a modern energy-saving light alarm and a planting system corresponding to the second category ICAO. 

Such favorable conditions for tourists and pilgrims will increase the tourist attractiveness of our country. For information, Samarkand International Airport was closed on October 20 due to the preparation for the launch of the new airport complex. Flights were temporarily transferred to other international airports of Navoi, Bukhara, Karshi, and terrestrial flights to Samarkand were organized for passengers. In addition, in preparation for the SCO summit in 2022, the construction of a new airport complex in Samarkand is being built.
